Method and sources
- Monthly cost = plan price (monthly, or annual per-month equivalent) + platform transaction fee (% of sales and/or flat per sale) + card processing per sale.
- Card processing uses the US domestic card rate each platform states on its own page (Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi, Podia, LearnWorlds) or Stripe's US rate (2.9% + 30¢) for systeme.io and Payhip. Skool is the merchant and its fee includes processing.
- Not included: international cards, currency conversion, sales-tax tools, payment plans, BNPL, add-ons, email list size limits beyond what is noted.
- Annual prices are used only where the page shows them as numbers (Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi, Podia, LearnWorlds). Skool and systeme.io say "2 months free" without a number, and Payhip shows monthly only: the monthly price is used and flagged.
- Thinkific shows EUR to our server in Denmark; USD prices were read from the US page on 2026-10-18 and the daily check watches the EUR view for changes.
- Every number has a verbatim evidence snippet; a daily refresh re-checks them and logs any mismatch for a human. Data is never changed automatically.
- Rankings are by total monthly cost, then name. Affiliate status is never read by the calculator (tested).
